January - Carnation
Flower Origins:
Some scholars suggest that the name carnation comes from the old English word corone (flower garlands) or "coronation" because of its use in Greek ceremonial crowns.

Although carnations are the birth flower for January, they are also the symbolic flower of Mother’s Day.
