What type of flowers will be in my arrangement?
We always do our best to match the colours and flowers in our arrangements to what you see on our website.
However, flowers are perishable and our team has very high standards. We may on occasion have to substitute flower colours and/or varieties to ensure our flower arrangements are of the highest quality and freshness.
Can I change the flowers and colours in my arrangement?
Yes. If you are ordering online, simply request any colour or flower changes to our designs in the “Other Special Requests” box during check out.
If ordering in-store or by phone, simply let our team members know.
We always do our best to accommodate special requests but cannot always guarantee availability as flowers can be seasonal.
Like the look of an arrangement but would like it smaller or larger? Call us and we will be happy to oblige!
Can I send alcohol with my order of flowers?
Unfortunately, no. The laws regarding the sending of alcohol with flowers are very complicated. As a result, Westmount Florist is not able to send alcohol with your order.
Can I have my own greeting card or gift items sent with my flower delivery?
Of course. We are happy to include your personal gift or greeting card with your flower order.
Simply give us a call and let us know when you place your order. Then bring the item to one of our stores a few days before the scheduled delivery date so that we can properly prepare your flower delivery.
Note that on some rare occasions we may be unable to include a personal gift with your flower order, such as due to excessive size or weight, etc. If in doubt, call us to discuss.
I saw a product available yesterday but now it's gone. Where did it go?
Sometimes we have a limited supply of certain flowers. Our buyers do their best to have enough in stock, but if we run out of something you really had your eye on, give us a call and we can check for availability.
If the exact flower variety or colour you’re looking for is not available, we may be able to recommend a suitable substitution.

How are my flowers delivered?
Westmount Florist uses custom packaging to ensure your flower delivery arrives safe and in style!
Some flowers get thirstier than others on the way to their destination, so we take extra care to keep them hydrated with water picks or a special hydration pack.
During the winter months, we keep our flowers warmly wrapped while en route to avoid freezing.
Who is delivering my flowers?
Westmount Florist has its own fleet of flower delivery vehicles and drivers to ensure your order is handled with the impeccable care we’re famous for.
We are hands-on from the time you place your order to the moment it is received.
On occasion, we rely on a trusted specialized delivery service partner to help with deliveries further from the island of Montreal or that must arrive at a specific time.
How soon can my flowers be delivered?
If your order is received before noon (EST), Westmount Florist can usually provide same day flower delivery in Greater Montreal, Laval and the South Shore, from Monday to Saturday before 6pm.
For a rush delivery, call us at 514-488-9121, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
With the exception of funerals, an extra fee applies on orders that must be delivered at a specific time.
How soon can my flowers be picked up?
Flowers can be picked up after 2 hours from when the order was placed.
Can I have flowers delivered on the weekend?
We deliver flowers on Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. We do not deliver on Sundays.
Funeral homes will accept flower deliveries late Saturday for services taking place on a Sunday.
Can I have flowers delivered on holidays?
We do not deliver on the following holidays:
- New Years Day
- Victoria Day (last Monday before May 25th)
- St-Jean-Baptiste (June 24th)
- Canada Day (July 1st)
- Labour Day (first Monday in September)
- Canadian Thanksgiving (second Monday in October)
- Christmas Holiday (Dec 25th - Jan 2nd)
Want to celebrate the above holidays with flowers? Westmount Florist only works with the freshest blooms, so you can safely have your flowers delivered ahead of time. We promise that they will still look gorgeous on the big day.
Can I request a specific time for my order to be delivered?
For most orders, we can usually accommodate requests for morning delivery (9 am to 12 pm) or for afternoon delivery (12 pm to 5 pm).
We do our absolute best to adhere to your requested time, however we cannot guarantee delivery at any specific hour.
What if the recipient isn’t home when Westmount Florist delivers the flowers?
If the recipient isn’t there when the flowers are delivered, we will try to contact them using the phone number provided.
If the recipient cannot be reached by phone, we will leave a message on their voicemail (if they have one) and a calling card in their mail.
The voicemail and calling card will advise the recipient to either:
- Pick up their flowers with a neighbour who has been kind enough to accept them.
- Call us at the store to arrange for re-delivery.
- Pick up their flowers at a safe location around the house (ex. front porch, back door).
Westmount Florist will only leave the gift on the doorstep/at reception (wherever the delivery was to) if our delivery driver deems it safe to do so.
How will I know if my flowers have been delivered?
At the end of your requested delivery day, Westmount Florist will send a delivery confirmation to the email address you provided to let you know all went well with the delivery.
If for any reason we were unable to complete your delivery, we will attempt to contact both you and the recipient either by the phone numbers or the email address you provided when you placed the order.

What payment methods can I use to order flowers?
What do I do if my credit card is declined?
If we are unable to charge your credit card, we will notify you either by phoning you or by email to arrange an alternative form of payment.
If we are unable to reach you at this email address, or if you do not respond in a timely manner, we may not be able to process your order or deliver it on your requested delivery date.
How long do refunds take?
Refunds take approximately 24-72 hours after the refund has been initiated.
If you do not see the refund in your bank or credit card account after several days, please contact us.
I accidentally used the wrong credit card to order flowers. What should I do?
Can I cancel my order?
In many cases, yes. See our Order and Return Policy for more details on when and how you can cancel your order.
How do I get a copy of my receipt?
You automatically receive an email receipt after you place your flower order.
If for you did not receive your receipt or need another copy, contact us and we will send you another copy.
Flower Care: Arrangements
How do I keep my cut flowers from Westmount Florist looking fresh and happy?
- Use a clean vase free of any soap residue.
- Fill the vase with room temperature water and add the flower food we include with your flowers.
- Cut 3/4" to one inch off the bottom of the stems at an angle to help the flowers take up water.
- Place the flowers in the vase. Make sure all the stems are submerged and remove any leaves below the waterline.
- Keep the flowers away from direct sunlight, heating or cooling vents, fans and ripening fruit.
- If possible, trim the flower stems and change the water every other day to prolong the life of your cut flowers.
- Not all flowers are created equal and some wilt faster than others. Remove blooms from the arrangement as they wilt.

Not all flowers are created equal and some wilt faster than others. If you have any doubts or concerns about the quality of the flowers you received from Westmount Florist, please contact us right away. In some cases, we may be able to replace your flowers.
