Flower Delivery Verdun

Both of our stores normally carry both cymbidium and Phalaenopsis Orchids.

Because cymbidium orchids come to us in cut stalks, we like to feature them in beautiful tall vases or as focal points in some of our arrangements due to their showy nature. They are long lasting and can be distinguished by their 3-lobed lip.

Our potted orchids (phalaenopsis) have single or multiple stems depending on the type of fullness you're looking for as well as two different sizes: mini and standard height starting at 14”. We normally feature white and dark pink orchids on our website, but our stores do carry other colours not featured on our site.  It’s worth giving us a call if you fancy a particular colour or height for your potted orchid.

Phalaenopsis orchids are easy to care for.  

Generally speaking, they are a great choice for indoor spaces with bright natural light.  (i.e. not in a sunny window where they’ll get direct sunlight). The growing medium that we provide with your potted orchid should be kept moist, not soggy or dry.  These are the top two care considerations.

Absolutely. We can deliver any of our stunning arrangements, bouquets, flowering plants or air filtering green house plants to Verdun. They all make a perfect housewarming gift. 

We often carry a wider variety of green and flowering plants in our Pointe Claire or Westmount stores which can be shipped to Verdun just as easily.

Year-round flowers tend to be blooms that are readily available at any given time of the year due to their popularity. These flowers tend to be the go-tos in the florist world.  Some good examples year-round would be Delphinium, Roses, Hydrangea, Lilies, Ranunculus, or Alstroemeria to name a few.  

Our seasonal flowers are those types of blooms we can only get from our growers during a specific time of the year, i.e. Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter.  

At Westmount Florist, Tulips are in stock from January to mid-May; Peonies from May to the end of June, Sun Flowers from August to the end of September, Hyacinths late March to the end of April;  and Amaryllis from November to December.  

During their seasonal appearance our floral designers love to  feature them in our bouquets, arrangements, or in our ceramic or terracotta pots and are usually featured on our website in the seasonal collections.

Yes you can request specific flowers for your arrangements or bouquets.  

All special flower requests are handled on a case by case basis by our floral designers.  It is important to give us a call as soon as you know the date you’d like to have your blooms delivered.

Flowers that are in season can be easily ordered in advance - usually a week before you need your arrangement or bouquet delivered. 

However, when the flowers you're looking for are not in season it is harder for us to source, they tends to be more expensive and require a longer lead time of two (2) weeks or more prior to delivery.
