Symbolism: Limonium symbolizes success, beauty, sympathy, and remembrance. It can also mean "I miss you" when given to someone you care for deeply.

Description: A graceful flowering plant with elegantly arching branches, Limonium is adorned with airy panicles of delicate blooms in shades of blue, purple, and lavender. Often called sea lavender, its papery flowers adds a soft, textural charm.

Named after: Limonium gets its name from the Greek word leimon, meaning “meadow,” referring to the plant’s natural habitat.

Native to: Native to Eastern Asia and Southeastern Europe

Flowering period: Late Summer

Vase life: Varies by cultivar: 4-16 days.

Popular use in floral arrangements or bouquets: Limonium is a great bouquet or arrangement filler because it adds a delicate texture with 

Limonium (commonly known as sea lavender or statice) is not considered toxic to cats or dogs, according to the ASPCA and other veterinary sources.

However, while it's not poisonous, it's always a good idea to discourage pets from chewing on any non-food plants, as ingestion can still lead to mild stomach upset in some animals due to plant matter irritation.
